For the compact OurAir SQ 500 room air purifier, which does not require a pre-filter due to its lower air volume flow, we developed the OdorControl combined filter. This filter integrates a high-efficiency HEPA H14 air filter with a specialized gas adsorption layer.

With OdorControl, we use a custom blend of activated carbon, chosen for its exceptionally large internal surface area, allowing for highly effective absorption of odors and harmful gases.

The properties of activated carbon are impressive: the surface area of just one teaspoon equals that of an entire football field — giving the carbon layer plenty of room to adsorb unwanted odors and gases effectively.
